In shockwave theory, the density, velocity and pressure jumps are derived from conservation equations. Here, we address physics of a weak shock other way around. We first show that density profile in fluid can be expressed as sum linear acoustic modes. The so built propagates at speed sound matter is exactly conserved front crossing.
